Bookends: $725

Bookends are probably a book lover’s best friend, but friendship shouldn’t cost a dime. Bookends make your bookshelf look fancy and organized, and, in general, they are pretty inexpensive. In fact, you can make your own bookends in the shape of letters, let’s say (From A to Z.), using resin.

However, an artist named Rodrigo Bravo launched his Monolith Series, and as part of his project, there were also some dome-looking bookends. These bookends were actually carved from Combarbalita, which is basically a volcanic stone native to Chile. While we don’t want to depreciate the stone’s value, paying $725 for some bookends seems a “little bit” too much.
