11. Casseroles
Casseroles are simply divine for food-lovers. The mixture of textures, with its crunchy crust and its creamy and cheesy custard, will make the perfect dish for a family reunion or just for a random Friday night.
They were popular in America before the 70s, and the desire for simplicity transformed casseroles into an easy dish. It was usually made with pasta, beef, vegetables, like onion and carrots, and of course, grated cheese on top. The dish could stay in the oven until the cheese was completely melted, forming that delicious crust.
