8. Jell-O Salads
Speaking of people’s obsession of forming food in shapes, jell-o salads are another 70s staple, the upgraded version of shaped food. Add gelatin to every dish you make and you have a jell-o salad.
At first, it didn’t sound that weird, people used to add just fruit and vegetables to it, but it wasn’t really healthy either because of the added sugar.
However, with time, more and more ingredients were being used with jell-o, which wasn’t that appetizing. Think about fish, cheese, meat, along with vegetables, but in a big chunk of gelatin.
