Shopping at Costco is undoubtedly an efficient method to save money and stock up with quality food and ingredients at the same time. But is it possible to survive for an entire month only with the food bought at Costco?
We rounded up a Costco meal plan that includes four weeks’ worth of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks for a family of four, two adults and two young children, with a total cost of $520 (give or take). That’s 8% less than what the U.S. Department of Agriculture estimated for a two-parent household with two children, based on food costs in July 2019. Have in mind that ingredients are sold in bulk and we calculated the total based on unit prices for the food consumed throughout the month.
