10 Easy and Achievable New Year’s Resolutions for Homeowners

Test the soil

If you want to know how fertile and healthy your soil is (or isn’t), a soil test can help you do just that. If you notice that whatever you plant, nothing seems to properly, it might be because the soil in your garden needs certain nutrients and fertilizers. A soil test is also important if you’ve recently moved in and want to grow your own garden.

You can either do the testing yourself, with the help of a soil kit like Luster Leaf Rapitest Test Kit or just get professional help from your local cooperative extension service or land grant university. They will perform the test for you and tell you what you need to do to make the soil more fertile.
