Set a Realistic Price

Say you have a barely used iPad that you want to sell. Nobody’s going to buy it for $250 since if they can add a little more money to that sum, they’d be purchasing a brand new one instead.

Likewise, you need realistic prices for all your items. Scratched furniture? Price cut. Worn clothes? Price cut. Nothing second hand will ever sell as though it’s brand new.

You can also research what other sellers are asking for- but not just that. Look for items that have actually been sold for a good idea on prices.

Pictures Help Sales

If you don’t use any photos on your listings, there’s 0 chance you’ll find a buyer. Bad pictures will turn them away too, so you should try your best even if you’re not a professional photographer.

Use natural lighting without flash to avoid creating harsh shadows. Make sure the background is uncluttered, and try to snap pictures from several different angles to give buyers a full picture (get it?) of what they’re looking at.
