In a time when a virus is lurking freely on the streets, Americans didn’t forget about their preexisting medical conditions. Some people chose to use their first round of stimulus money on medical costs. Paying for treatments, medicine and consultations was the number one priority for approximately 6 percent of stimulus recipients.
This trend saw an increase at the time when the second stimulus checks were in the hands of entitled citizens. Around 9 percent of stimulus recipients used their second round of stimulus money on healthcare.
