COVID-19: Trump Administration vs. Biden Administration

Transparency in communication

Originally, the Trump administration held regular briefings on the new coronavirus as well. The briefings were led by Dr. Fauci and Dr. Deborah Birx, who was in charge of the Covid-19 task force. With time, those briefings changed, and they started to become inconsistent.

While President Trump admitted on March 16, 2020, that the virus was indeed “bad” because it was extremely contagious, a few weeks later, he changed his mind.

He said that he’d like to see Americans working again by early April. Dr. Howard Koh, professor of Public Health Leadership at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, said that Trump’s message was “consistently inconsistent” which only made people panic even more.
