Pier 1 Imports is yet another chain that we’ve said our goodbyes to this year. Gone are the days of smelling all their candles, touching fluffy pillows, and gushing over glittery ornaments. Of course, they had all of that and more on their shelves as it was a favorite among decorators far and wide.
It’s not nearly as great as shopping in a brick-and-mortar store, but the company is still doing online business. So, if you’re a long-time lover of Pier 1 Imports, you can still shop for them, but you can say goodbye to visiting their stores this Holiday season.
Sears may still be around today, but it’s nothing like what it used to be, dropping from a whopping 3,000 locations to under 100. So even if you could have left your house to go shopping, chances are you wouldn’t have been able to find a store near you anyway.
The massive, beloved chain used to have everything from tools, lingerie, cookware, and even Christmas trees. Nowadays, what stores do remain barely look like the Sears we remember.
