Farrah Fawcett was known as a ‘70 golden girl, and we can’t agree more. Her role in the hit show Charlie’s Angels (1976–1977) propelled her to stardom, though she had worked on the set of Harry O (1974–1976) and The Six Million Dollar Man (1974–1978), where she met her husband Lee Majors.
Sadly, the power couple divorced after six years of marriage, and in a sudden twist, Fawcett also decided to switch things up in her career. Though Charlie’s Angels gained her a Golden Globe nomination, she decided to try and take on a more serious role. It turned out to be a great call as her role in The Burning Bed (1984) nominated her for two Emmy Awards.
Fawcett sadly passed away on June 25, 2009, aged just 62, due to cancer with her best friend Alana Stewart and her husband Ryan O’Neal at her side.
