Keeping yourself occupied with gardening adds drops of water to your life. Plus, studies have confirmed that the physical activity associated with gardening could lower the risk of developing Alzheimer’s and dementia by even 36 percent.

Bradley Willcox, an investigator in the area of gerontology and geriatrics, said in one interview that Okinawa residents are famous for their long life spans because they all practice gardening when they get old.
