A simple walk a day keeps the doctor away. Did you know that people who take long walks may live up to twenty years longer than couch potatoes? It may sound unbelievable, but that’s what Mayo Clinic research pointed out.

The same research added that, no matter how many pounds a person has, he or she may still reap the benefits of walking.

Walking in nature is even better. It can strengthen your immune system while minimizing the levels of the stress hormone called cortisol. About 30 minutes of active walking does wonders for both mental and physical health. Are you walking enough?
