Jason Saidian from Los Angeles really did his homework before he sued Krispy Kreme for a staggering $5 million back in 2016… too bad he lost interest in the suit as time went on. In 2017, it was voluntarily dismissed.
But let’s look at the reasons behind his actions in the first place!
He was rightfully upset that some of the fruit-flavored desserts on the menu contained no actual fruit. ‘Some’ being the keyword. The Glazed Lemon Donuts contained actual lemon juice, as per his research. But there were no raspberries in the Glazed Raspberry Filled dessert. It was this discrepancy that made him go forward with the suit.
Sadly, we will never know what could have happened if Saidian pushed through…

In 2016, a woman from New York noticed that her ‘fill-up’ chicken bucket was not filled to the brim. The commercials? They showed a bucket absolutely chock full of chicken pieces. She filed for a lawsuit despite the fact that KFC offered her a pair of gift certificates for her disappointment. She should have taken those and gotten herself a free meal but, instead, the courts dismissed the complaint and she left empty-handed…
