You Hear Rude Comments About Your Age

Your boss, your colleagues, everyone makes fun of your age. It’s not cool at all, and according to the owner and CEO of Pennico Press Publishing, Jeanne Miller Rodriguez, they do that because they want to “encourage” you to retire. In other words, they want you to leave.

While lighthearted teasing, isolated incidents, and offhand comments aren’t illegal, rude comments made every single day that lead to a hostile and horrible work environment are. If you think that your employer has crossed the line, do something about it. It’s not healthy for you to stay (and therefore work) in a hostile environment.
