What better way to combat pandemic boredom? Board games, puzzles, and crosswords have made a powerful comeback for many American families, especially for those who have kids. Video games are also in high demand right now, but personally, I prefer board games.

According to studies, board games help the brain build cognitive associations while minimizing the risks for mental diseases. One of the primary health benefits of playing board games is reducing the chances of developing cognitive declines like those associated with dementia and Alzheimer’s.
