If you’re going to spend several hundred dollars on a pair of designer shoes, you better wear them every day (it is doubtful to happen). Janet from My Twenty Cents told FITnancials said once that her biggest regret was spending $700 on a pair of shoes.

She also added that she only wore those Christian Louboutin pumps about five times because they were way too painful and way too flashy for just a day at the office.

20. Cheap Furniture

Another purchase most Americans regret is cheap furniture. Cheap and inexpensive are two different things. You might feel like you’ve won the lottery at the beginning, but, in the end, you will most likely say that it was the worst decision ever.

Nick, a financial advisor from Dollar Otter, said that he made a huge mistake when purchasing cheap furniture a couple of years ago. He did so because he wanted to save some money, but, in the end, he ended up replacing the whole furniture for obvious reasons; the quality was despicable.
