Don’t Delete the Listing Too Fast

Sadly, buyers sometimes flake out at the last minute, so in order to avoid the headache of putting up a new listing for an item you were about to sell, edit the listing instead. Mention that it’s pending pickup (PPU) or that the sale is pending in case this happens to you.

If the buyer never shows up or is no longer interested, edit the listing again and wait for someone else to show interest. Once the item is finally out of your hands, you can delete the post right away.

Cash Is King

Above all else, it’s better to require buyers to bring cash to a meetup- and make sure you specify the right amount. You don’t want someone showing up with $20 for a $10 item if you don’t have any cash change on you.

Some buyers might say that checks are more convenient than stopping by an ATM, but these can be fake, some may bounce. Protect yourself and your money by always specifying that you want cash!
