Do You Want to Sell Your Clutter Online? Here’s How to Do It Safely and Quickly!

November 23, 2020 · Living Tips

Honesty Is the Best Policy

Do you know what happens to sellers who aren’t honest about the items they’re selling. They get blasted, especially if you completed a transaction over social media. On other websites your ratings go down, you get terrible reviews and you lose the opportunity to sell other items.

So, no matter how badly you want to get rid of something, be honest about imperfections or flaws, or you might lose more money than you stand to make.

If you want to sell used electronics, we suggest using Decluttr. It’s also a great website for DVDs and CDs you no longer need.

Follow the Rules

No matter where you decide to sell, be it Facebook, eBay or any other website, make sure you read the rules.

On eBay, your listings may be puleld from the site if you don’t follow them, so you will have lost a lot of time in the process. If you join Facebook groups for selling items, you have to check what types of items they allow members to sell. If it’s a furniture group, don’t try to bypass the rules and offer clothes up, for example.

It shouldn’t take you long to find appropriate groups for everything you need to declutter, so make sure you’re in the right place and always follow the rules or you might risk losing your listings or your spot in certain groups.
