The Twenties were roaring, no doubt about it! The 1920s was a decade of great innovations and technological discoveries that significantly improved economic welfare and influenced the American lifestyle. From fridges to radios, telephones, hairdryers, vacuums and the all-mighty electricity, Americans started to live comfortably due to these household gadgets.
These breakthroughs helped people living at great distances from one another stay connected and in touch and were instrumental to the subsequent cultural progress of that decade.
Nowadays, our cultural experience is once again changed by what we call “digitization”, the process of converting information from a physical format to digital one. For many, it seems science fiction is turned into reality. According to Future Timeline, these are some of the technological advances we will be seeing in the future: the growth of internet use to 5 billion worldwide, the expansion of 5G connectivity, the proliferation of 3-D printing (especially for medical purposes), and bridging the gaps between human and artificial intelligence.
