20 Ways You’re Throwing Money Out of the Window Without Realizing It

Money mistake no. 5: Paying sales tax

If you’re living in a place such as Chicago, you know how high the sales tax is (10.25 percent). This tax can give you nightmares, especially if you want to make a big purchase. However, do your homework because most U.S. states have no sales tax during weekends.

Money mistake no. 6: Impulse shopping

Whenever you’re tempted to buy something, wait at least 24 hours. After one day, ask yourself if you really need that item (a new pair of shoes, designer bag, luxury watch, etc.). Impulse shopping often leads to financial loss.

Avoid this bad money habit by making a list every time you go shopping. Please stick to your shopping list like your life depends on it.
