Money mistake no. 19: Buying gift cards at a restaurant or a store

Most times, gift cards are pretty convenient, especially when you don’t know someone’s tastes or when you don’t have enough time to buy something yourself. However, it is not a brilliant idea to opt for a gift card at a restaurant or a store.

Why? Because warehouse clubs such as Costco or Sam’s Club have better options. Costco’s gift cards, for example, offer a higher value for much less than most stores. Plus, you can also find discounted gift cards on sites like Raise, Cardpool, and Gift Card Granny. So why waste your money on something you can easily find cheaper elsewhere?
