7. The barf bag hoarder 

A random yet necessary item we don’t often think about is the airline airsickness bags aka barf bags we are given on flights.

For Niek Vermeulen who lives in the Netherlands, what started as a bet with a friend over who can collect the most out of any one item ended up getting him in the Guinness World Book Of Records and he has been holding this record since 1986. Up until 2020 he managed to save a hefty 6,200 bags (hopefully, unused) and each a different design, all from different airlines and countries. The most interesting one in his collection would be the one from a NASA space shuttle called Columbia.

Rather than keeping his collection whole, you can find some of his pieces in the Guinness Museums in Orlando and Las Vegas.
