6 Ways Google Is Stealing Money from Your Pockets

Do you know how you can use Google Maps to look at a location from all 360 degrees? Yeah, that’s not something the mega-corporation paid a team of photographers to do. Oh, no, no, no!

“Google Street View trusted photographers” are behind those pictures, unpaid beginner or professional photographers that aren’t compensated a single dollar. Those new to the program need to submit 50 pictures before being ‘promoted’ to Trusted Pro. The perks?

Receiving training on how to sell their photography services to private companies. The irony is baffling!

Once the training is over Google will become a middleman, setting photographers up with local businesses that want 360 degree views of their locations. Despite their involvement, Google also refuses to help settle any disputes that may arise between the parties.

Other perks include stickers that photographers can use to advertise their skills and if that’s not bad enough, the company will also encourage you to purchase a $7.59 Google Cardboard.

If that’s not infuriating enough, there’s a story about a man who invested $2,390 in equipment such as internet and 360 cameras in order to become a Street View photographer. After he submitted his first 50, Google generously rewarded him with an offer to rent a movie for $0.99!

We say you should just bypass Google entirely and sell your 360 services to local businesses and get your own stickers to advertise your business. It’s simply not worth involving the mega-corporation!
