Drew Barrymore and Jeremy Thomas: 39 days
Drew Barrymore certainly lived up to her reputation as a ‘wild child’ with her highly publicized childhood marred by drug and alcohol abuse and constant partying, but that wild reputation would also spill into her relationships. Upon becoming emancipated at 14, she would briefly be engaged to the grandson of famed Hollywood producer Leland Hayward at 16.
The following year she would become engaged again, this time for a whole year, to musician and actor Jamie Walters before meeting and marrying Welsh-born Los Angeles bar owner Jeremy Thomas the year after that on March 20, 1994. in a hastily arranged ceremony after one of their friends joked they should get married, so they immediately did.
The two planned to honeymoon in Hawaii but Barrymore decided that two was a crowd so went on the honeymoon herself. While there she phoned Thomas, much to his surprise, to tell him that she sent out the divorce notice because he had only married her for money and a green card.
