When the legendary wild man of Hollywood Dennis Hopper was directing and starring in his film The Last Movie in 1970, he struck up a romance with Michelle Phillips, one of the female lead singers from the Mamas and Papas. On a whim, they decided to tie the knot. Which they did on Oct. 31, 1970.
However, that union would be struck down just 8 days later and while most who know the Easy Rider star are aware of his many issues with drugs and alcohol, the rumor mill spat out something rather different in regards to their divorce. It has been rumored that Phillips wanted to leave the relationship because of Hopper’s “unnatural sexual demands.”
