Professional Bridesmaid
Do you absolutely love weddings? Did you know there are people out there that work as professional bridesmaids? Yep, and they earn good money for it too, about $2,000 per wedding, but costs vary depending on the services they provide.
Typically, the role of a bridesmaid is offered to very close friends or family members and they have a lot of responsibilities to shoulder, so it’s no wonder that from time to time, a professional would have to step in. With the added help, the people in the wedding party can have fun and enjoy the celebrations without stressing over every little task.
Unsurprisingly, they also work undercover in most cases. After all, who would want to admit they paid someone to be their bridesmaid? These people pretend (very convincingly, we might add) to be friends of the bride all while balancing a budget for pre-wedding to-do lists.
They could also coach other bridesmaids while ensuring that every part of the wedding process goes exactly as the bride and groom have always dreamed of.
The downside? Bridezillas and difficult family members could make this job incredibly stressful. If your organizational skills aren’t top-notch, you might end up pissing off a lot of people, especially those closest to the happy couple. Or, God forbid, you could end up upsetting the happy couple themselves!
The good news is that professional bridesmaids don’t need a diploma in order to get the job. They have excellent social skills, but having a business background helps too! You’ll also need an in-depth knowledge of the wedding industry otherwise, you’d look like a deer in headlights trying to tackle all your responsibilities.
There are online training courses that professional bridesmaids can take, but it’s also best to learn from other industry professionals as often as possible!
So, what do you think, would you consider a change of career?
