Beloved Hollywood A-lister, Tom Cruise, had been labeled as dyslexic from the age of seven. He described his difficulties in school in an interview with People, saying that he would have a very hard time focusing on his reading material. Once he got to the bottom of the page and realized he’d barely memorized any of the information provided in the text, he’d feel “anxious, nervous, bored, frustrated, dumb.”
Many people who suffer from dyslexia actually feel the same, and if they’re not given the right tools and support, it could lead to them feeling even more anxious.
Luckily, though nobody has been able to give Cruise a solution to his problem, by persevering he managed to overcome many of his challenges. Unsurprising, actually, given how much hard work the actor puts into everything he sets his mind to.
