7. Keira Knightley
Kiera Knightley, a U.K. born actress claims she ‘overcame’ her dyslexia by reading Emma Thompson’s Sense and Sensibility script. Sharman Macdonald, her mother, a Scottish playwright, screenwriter, and actress worked with Thompson and thus managed to get her daughter a copy of the screenplay.
Knightley used her love for Thompson to push herself through reading it despite finding it incredibly hard. She cheered herself on by saying ‘If Emma Thompson couldn’t read, she’d make ******* sure she’d get over it, so you have to start reading because that’s what Emma Thompson would do.”
Nowadays, we wish other bright kids look at Knightly’s success and use it as a way to catapult themselves forward no matter what hardships they may be facing in life!
