Getting the correct amount of sleep is not only good for your day to day productivity, but keeping to the same sleeping schedule can help keep your body clock in sync so you get the sleep you need.
There are simple steps you can take like the obvious ones of avoiding caffeine and alcohol in the evening and avoiding using devices like your TV, cell phone, and laptop before you want to turn in for the night. However, taking naps for more than 20 minutes during the day can disrupt your sleeping pattern and even the medication you have been prescribed might be having an adverse effect on your sleeping pattern.
