Vaccinations
The Trump administration led the vast Operation Warp Speed, where multiple coronavirus vaccines were rapidly developed. This was partly due to the fact that the U.S. purchased millions of doses of Pfizer vaccines early on, but also committed $1 billion to the development of the Moderna shot.
At first, Congress allocated $10 billion to Operation Warp Speed, a partnership between the Department of Defense and the Department of Health and Human Services. But the coordination lost its pace when it came to actually giving the vaccines to Americans. The operation suddenly started moving hesitantly, because the states lacked the needed support.
