How the Federal Government and States were coordinated

Under President Trump, all states and their local officials were completely on their own. There were 50 states going in 50 different directions, which led to the overall chaos. The Biden administration strongly fought to aim toward a better collaboration between the states.

General Pena was the one who often briefed reporters on distribution when Trump was president. He said on many occasions that the states created their own vaccination plans, which were later submitted to the federal team. This only led to a lack of coordination and then to a slow rollout when the shots were finally available.
