According to the American Pet Products Association, U.S. households will spend around $99 billion in 2020 on their pets compared to $95.7 billion in 2019. These costs include more than just pet products, but also insurance, vet visits, boarding, and grooming services.

When is the last time you dined in a restaurant?

Despite restrictions, many American households turned to take-out food instead of cooking their own meals at home. So much so, in fact, that Big-On-Entertainment found that as many as 65% of people ordered more food from March to July. The same survey also found that we spend about $67 a week on meals.

We can’t be sure if the pattern will continue, but if it does, it means we will have spent $2,680 from March to December this year alone just on takeout food.
