The reason behind pet food being so cheap at the dollar store? Cheap ingredients that may pose health risks for your furry best friend. You might even notice they’re turning their little wet noses up at whatever you give them and that’s usually a good indicator that there’s something wrong with their diet.
You can still find great deals at your local grocery store, where some canned foods (for both cats and dogs) can cost as little as $1. Look out for sales and buy them even cheaper if you have to, but don’t count on the dollar store for our pet’s nutrition.
