7. Beauty Products
We know shampoos, conditioners, shower gels and moisturizers from dollar stores often perform just as well as name brands, but that doesn’t mean you should trust every beauty item you find on those shelves.
Avoid makeup and hair dyes in order to dodge severe allergic reactions and long term damage from these items. Just imagine what putting $1 hair dye in your hair could do. Your locks could end up burned and the color won’t even come close to the one on the box.
At times you might be lucky enough to find name brands too, so keep an eye out for those if you want to keep budgeting but otherwise, it’s not worth it. Many would say that when you do find name brands it’s better to buy in bulk, but you should avoid doing this too as even makeup has a shelf life and if you buy too much you might be losing more money. By the time you finish one tube of mascara, your other tubes will have gone off.
