3. Trader Joe’s
Surprised by this pick? Trader Joe’s might not seem like an ideal supermarket for those who needed or wanted to quarantine since they didn’t offer any of the services that many other chains provided: curbside pickup, delivery, in-house, third party. Customers that wanted to shop for their impeccable organic, all-natural produce had to line up and wait for quite a while.
Some locations seemed to have been very well organized while other shoppers reported others that had been on the verge of absolute chaos.
So, there are two reasons as to why Trader Joe’s made it on the list. The affordable prices that put Whole Foods or Sprouts to shame helped many American households rely less on take-away and more on healthy, home-cooked meals. Another reason? The services at some locations were so good, people actually wanted to line up outside for a chance to shop there.
Take one store in Southern California where customers waiting in line were asked trivia questions by staff. The winners ended up with bags of candy! So, if you know of a Trader Joe’s in your area that took safety precautions seriously, we can’t recommend them enough. It’s a bit of a hit or miss, so you still have to be careful.
