Tulsa, Oklahoma
Not everyone that moves to Tulsa, Oklahoma, receives money. You’d have to apply through Tulsa Remote to see any of the $10,000 offered by the organization. These grants, which are funded by the George Kaiser Family Foundation, are paid out over the course of a year, but in order to get your money on the cash, you need to be able to work remotely if you aren’t already.
There is also an application process that ends with an in-Tulsa interview, so be ready for a journey ahead of actually moving… which you should be doing anyway in order to scope out the area and possibly look for a house to buy or place to rent.
Savannah, Georgia
Qualified technology workers who have always wanted to move to Savannah, Georgia, or Chatham County, now’s your chance. If you want to get your hands on the $2,000 in moving expenses paid by the Savannah Technology Workforce Incentive, established by Savannah’s Economic Development Authority (SEDA) in 2020, then you have to fit the criteria.
First, you need to have at least three years of experience in a technology field. Then you need to either work for a company in Chatham County, be able to work remotely for a company outside of Chatham County, or work in technology for your own business.
By relocating, the program requires you to either purchase a property or obtain a minimum one-year lease. You also must live in Chatham County for at least 30 days before you start seeing payments.
