Remote Shoals is an organization that is actively looking for talented remote workers to join the Shoals community, consisting of the municipalities of Muscle Shoals, Florence, Tuscumbia, and Sheffield.
The program offers qualifying individuals $10,000 over the course of the first year they live there. If you could use the money just know that you have to be working remotely and making at least $52,000 per year. If you tick those boxes then you can start the application process through Remote Shoals and, soon enough, you could join this community!
Rural Kansas
This is the perfect opportunity for people who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of bigger cities. Say goodbye to the urban vibe and join as many as 77 rural counties in Kansas, known as Rural Opportunity Zones.
Applications for 2020 are closed, but they’re set up to reopen on January 1st, 2021. In order to qualify, you must establish a permanent address in one of the zones and have a student loan that you’re currently paying off (associate’s, bachelor’s, or post-graduate).
Depending on the zone, you’ll benefit from one or both of the following things. Either your state income taxes will be waived or you’ll get student loan repayments up to $15,000 over a five-year period.
