Similar to baking powder and other baking products, whole grain or whole wheat flour goes bad in approximately six months after opening. Processed flour, on the other hand, can last up to eight months in the pantry or 12 months in the fridge.
However, if you’re occasionally using flour to prepare certain dishes, a smaller package might be better than a 25-pound bag found at warehouse clubs.
