According to McCormick, the multinational food company that manufactures, markets, and distributes spices, condiments, and the like, herbs and seasoning blends have a shelf life of one to three years, while whole and ground spices can last about two to four years.
If you know you are going to use those products within the mentioned timeframe, it makes sense to buy them in bulk as the cost is not that big. But if the quantity is too much for you, you can opt for dollar-store spices and loose spices which are just as cheap.
