Pencils can also be collectibles, and if that’s the case, let’s say you’re entitled to spend a big chunk of money on a pencil ($240). But when you’re using it for solving crosswords, why would you want to pay that amount of money on it?
In general, a 24-pack of No. 2 pencils goes for $4, so I don’t think it’s a good idea to spend $240 for just one Graf Von Faber-Castell Perfect Pencils. And yes, we are talking about a Graf von Faber-Castell item, basically a luxury writing instrument with an integrated sharpener and a replaceable eraser, but it still doesn’t justify the amount of money paid to get one.
