1. Unplug unused devices

Plugged-in devices are still consuming even when they aren’t turned on. For instance, the tiny standby light on the front of your TV adds a couple of bucks to your energy bills every single month. And when you’re counting all of your devices, the sum could be big enough to scare you.

According to the U.S. Office of Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy a smart speaker such as Amazon Echo and one TV that are always plugged-in can cost you more than $100 in one year. So, are you willing to pay that much just because you’re too lazy to unplug them? We recommend you make a smart investment: purchase smart power strips. You can easily set them to turn off at any time you like.

All experts agree that you can save a lot of money by using smart power strips. In fact, when you do the math, smart power strips are really worth the money, considering that American households could actually save over $135 a year when referring to utility cost only by turning off all devices that found themselves in standby mode.
