4. Not using sunscreen
Summer is not the only time of the year when sunscreen should be an essential. UV rays are still harmful even during winter or when it’s cloudy outside. The snow can reflect that light which is also harmful for the eyes and that’s why many people wear sunglasses during winter.
That being said, even if you can’t properly see the sun, it’s still there and its rays can damage your skin. From aging and hyperpigmentation to really serious conditions, like skin cancer, we are able to protect ourselves by using sunscreen.
Moreover, UV rays can actually pass through windows so it’s recommended to wear sunscreen even if you are not leaving your home, especially during warmer months.
