9. Holding your glass of wine by the body

There are a lot of etiquette articles on the Internet, but holding your glass of wine with your hand around the stem, not the body, actually has practical purposes. Many people will put their hand around the body and place the stem between fingers. But that’s not actually the right way to do it.

We all know that white or rose wine is best served after it had been left in the fridge for couple hours. If you put your warm hand on the body it will make your beverage go from cold to lukewarm in several minutes.
