5 Strange And Eerie Sounds That Remain Unexplained

Other explanations suggest a more celestial cause, like a meteor entering the atmosphere causing sonic booms or perhaps a possible resonance from solar and/or earth magnetic activity inducing sounds or shock waves generated by a coronal mass ejection (CME) from our parent star. There are more mundane and earthly theories that involve escaping gases, volcanic eruptions, avalanches and underwater caves collapsing.

Some have even gone down the ‘it must be a secret military craft’ route, but that fails to provide an adequate explanation for the sounds heard before the development of supersonic flight. Strange events are always going to be attributed to aliens but as you have probably gathered by the laundry list of explanations, no one has any definitive answers.
