Here’s another red flag that your boss wants you retired: he or she doesn’t want to hear your opinion anymore. When your employer gives you easy tasks and basic projects, although you were used to having serious inputs in strategy, maybe it’s because he/she knows you’re about to retire.

Kapoor says that any decision-making insights you’ve had in the past may see a downward curve now when you’re almost retired. Fewer brainstorming activities and less strategizing mean your employer wants you to retire. Again, if you find yourself in this situation, initiate a discussion.
