No More Cheese, Please

A couple in Fort Lauderdale has such a huge grievance with McDonald’s in 2018 that they sued the company for a jaw-dropping $5 million. The issue was over cheese used in their Quarter Pounders.

Basically, they claimed that the fast-food giant used to offer Quarter Pounders with or without the cheese but they have since removed the no-cheese option. The couple believed that McDonald’s was trying to force customers to pay 90 cents more even when didn’t want the extra cheese.

Since McDonald’s argued that the two menu options are distinct and that customers can always order one or the other, they won the suit. Looks like this couple would not be getting the $5 they’d been dreaming for after all…

The Lawsuit That Makes No Cents

One woman from New York couldn’t fathom the fact that different locations had different princes for their items. The Burger King closer to her home sold a large Coke for 89 cents. A restaurant further away sold them for 69. You can guess what happened next.

Yep, she sued Burger king over 20 cents, asking for $100 for the extra distance she had to travel to get her favorite beverage.
Despite not even showing up in court, Burger King won the suit easily, proving that the woman had no leg to stand on.
