Toilet Paper

All right, so we’re all painfully aware of how difficult it was to find even a roll of paper last spring. Worried that we’d be stuck indoors for months on end, shoppers filled their carts with so many toilet paper products that eventually, stores across the U.S. had to issue policies as to how many packs one person could purchase!

That’s because sales jumped by 845%, causing manufacturers to shift from commercial production in order to bring more toilet paper to home buyers.

For a little while, it looked like things would go back to normal, but as COVID-19 cases skyrocketed again towards the end of the year, consumers had to face new waves of empty shelves of toilet paper yet again.
