You might find the reason behind this shortage surprising, though, as manufacturers could not keep up with the demand for aluminum cans! This is in part also tied in with the industry’s shift from plastic over the recent years.
Coca-Cola was forced to give up on entire brands such as Diet Coke Feisty Cherry, Coke Life, Tab, and Odwalla. Meanwhile, Dr. Pepper even acknowledged the shortage in August, becoming one of the biggest brands to be in short supply since the coronavirus reached our shores.
