Childcare
The crisis caused by COVID-19 has forced many working parents to pay more for childcare. According to a recent survey, families with children experience difficult times balancing family life and work. That’s why about 5 percent of stimulus recipients chose to put their money toward childcare.
The 5 percent represents mostly those parents who earn less than $50,000 annually. Afterschool programs aren’t accessible to everyone, and many parents are charged a fee in order for their children to benefit from the program’s activities. And when grandparents aren’t around, this is probably the best (if not the only) solution for them.
