Here’s How Americans Are Spending Their Stimulus Money

Another priority for all of us is having a roof over our heads. More than 43 percent of Americans chose to put their first round of stimulus checks towards paying rent or mortgage. Housing costs are a nightmare now for those earning less than $75,000 a year. If you’re one of them, you’d agree.

Regarding those who earn more than $150,000 annually, only 14 percent of them used their stimulus checks to pay housing costs such as rent. The percentage is constantly growing, and finance experts think that the latest round of stimulus checks will most likely be used on housing expenses since more than 9.2 million Americans were way behind on rental payments in February 2021.
